The University of California, Davis has an opening for a General Thoracic Surgical PA position. This is an exciting position that entails an active role in the operating room, inpatient management of the general thoracic surgical patients, outpatient visits as well as database and research elements. The successful candidate will be energetic, friendly and ambitious. The PA will work almost exclusively with 2 attendings as well as residents, medical and PA students and nurses. There will be no cross-cover with cardiac surgery. We are more than willing to completely train a suitable candidate so no previous surgical experience required. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn and excel in a range of areas in and out of the OR. Independence will be fostered and encouraged to the extent of the PA’s abilities and desires.
